Well, I received a polite request for an update on this blog. Reminder appreciated Sandy.
I have delayed because I do enjoy photo blogs and have not had the technology to put any recent pics on lately.
What has been happening.....The school year is winding down. We are in full swing with our kindergarten grad practise. At our school this is a full scale production with choreography and set design!Luckily for them my role is more crowd control and gopher.
I am finished on June 20th and operation move out will begin in earnest then. Until then i am just thinking about it which is always worse than the actual activity. I have moments of panic but am really working on really trusting God. This I have found is a minute by minute excerise for me,.(frustrating and disappointing) I am continually taking back the worry and then asking forgiveness and turning it back over. Also, there seems to be an unusual amount of little tests coming my way which is sort of funny but not really unexpected. Of course we trust when everything is going our way but can we really trust when the bank account is low and you get robbed? Job 1:21 was a verse given to me when my first dog died and I have never forgotten it. Thanks dad . Blessed be the name of the Lord.
Amanda,Jonathan, Bradley and Ocean have recently moved from Ontario to Alberta. It is the beginning of a new adventure for all of us and we want to share our journeys with you.

Reassurance
I have received so many reassurances in the last little while regarding my decision to move. It is very encouraging and I appreciate all of you who have had input.
I will very much miss my job at Heritage but have discovered that a lot of my friends there are also making big changes and are moving on so its not like I'm the only one. We are looking forward to moving in to our "OWN" house and even though it is old and "wobbly" the property itself is full of possibilities. If anyone has some words of wisdom (and experience) in subdividing and building. I'd love to hear from you. I am on 3,5 lots and have tons of ideas! (but no actual know how.)
Brad, Ocean and I went up on Friday and got info on their schools for next year. Both look great and are walking distance from home (what isn't?) I also looked around the house and tried to decide where I would put things (I did it secretly so Amy didn't feel like I was taking over, after all, it is still her place for now. ) If everything goes according to plan Amy will be in her "own" place(not nearly so wobbly as mine) April 1 (no joke). I hope to rent mine out from April to August to Guiseppe(see previous posts) and friends while they have another season of bin building. So pray about that, otherwise I have to come up with an extra $700 a month until I can move in, yikes! Everything is possible with God.
Well, that's me in a nut shell. talk to you soon.
Mark, did you survive the marriage weekend? What happened with the sweater. I can't comment on your blog, my password gets rejected everytime.

Char : raising the bar
I know you've heard about how wonderful our mother is but I just don't think she gets the credit she deserves. And she sure doesn't give herself enough credit.
For starters, her holiday in the Philipines was interrupted by a panicked call from Sara letting her know that she would no longer have a place to stay! Instead of panic and worry for herself she promptly called me to ensure that I didn't put myself out and that she and dad were "fine" with anything, anywhere. She arrived home at 1am to find some of her stuff (the essentials) moved into my home and the rest waiting in an unholy mess in Sara's house. She promptly got to work packing, moving and organizing, and looking after Journey, Solomon, Sierra and Ethan while Amy and Sara packed up! ( all of this done on 3-4 hours of sleep a night as she hadn't adjusted to the new time zone.)
One week later and she is still babysitting Sierra, Ethan,(Ocean and Mikayla occasionally) and still packing and moving Sara and John.
She also picked up some supplies for my pioneer group class (the same day they made a trip to Three hills to move stuff), and she is the first person in a long time to get my Jon to crack a smile and say more than two words at a time (except for asking for stuff) He was actually joking around tonight at the supper table. Thanks mom! Seriously
Now anyone may be able to do what she has done but can they do it with the great attitude that she has and not turn into a snarling, raving beast (like I would)..I don't think there are many out there that are her equal and I count myself extremely lucky to be her kid.

On the Move Again
"The best laid plans of mice and men....." I don't remember how the rest of the saying goes but I do remember hearing it a lot growing up. It always meant things weren't going to go exactly as you planned them. Not bad, just different.
My plan was to keep the kids in Heritage until graduation then move on but a number of things and a lot of prayer has shown us its time to move now. Not far, just up to Three Hills, (Amy has been praying and the "prayers of a righteous woman availeth much") just full of wise saying today!
Any way I am in the process of finding work up there and we will make our move this summer. It will mean less $ spent on gas as we can walk to work and school. The christian school costs only $100's per year instead of thousands and the kids will be able to walk to friends, swimming pool, etc. instead of relying on me to drive them. Jon will also do his learner's test in a smaller safer town than calgary! We will also be living on our own as a family for the first time in 3 years! It has been great but we do relate differently to and with each other when we are on our own. So,,,, there you have it.....we're looking forward to the future, dreading the actual physical part of the move but we've done it before!

Love etc.
Haven't been on here for a while. I was glad to hear Erin was having the same difficulties with posting as I was (it wasn't just that I was a complete moron!)
Valentines day tomorrow, sorry to say I'm a bit jaded where romance is concerned. I want to be a believer but...well, I'm just not a big fan of the pain which seems to come along with it. And I am discovering that I am enough of a control freak (I mean that in the nicest way) that I like not having someone I have to make decisions with, its just me. Granted that can come back to bite you if you make a wrong one (no one to blame but yourself). I'd make a good dictator not a mediator I guess. I did buy a heart shaped cake for dessert tomorrow, don't want to infect the kids with my pessimism, there is still hope for them.
Work is going great, I do love my job and I always feel appreciated and valued. We are getting a week and a half holiday after tomorrow, that really makes me love my job! Not going anywhere, just going to hang out, go sledding (we finally got snow!) and be lazy.
Well, that's it for me tonight, just felt like reaching out in a totally impersonal and noncommital way:) May you all enjoy His Love tomorrow. (the only love you can totally rely on)
