Fall photos

Pumpkin carving. you are never too old for carving pumpkins but I discovered that my kids
don't like to get their hands dirty..they are all quite squeemish. Lucky for them their mom has
access to an unlimited supply of rubber gloves!

My beautiful vampire
Really, they're not so bad, just read the Twilight series...

Remembrance day. Ocean was chosen to represent her class and carry the wreath during the school service. She did a great job and made her teacher (and her mom) proud!

Moving Day

I know this is pretty late in coming but better late than never. Our moving day dawned clear, cool and dry. (always a bonus when you move)
I was so grateful for all the help and the great attitudes from everyone...even my boys!(who I think it is safe to say HATE moving)

We had everything out of the old house and into the new by 1pm and the house was settled and tidy by evening! Thank you, thank you!
I have had fun shopping for new furniture(and assembling it)

A special thanks goes to Laura for babysitting those who were to small to lift and carry boxes and providing delicious meals tokeep our strength up.

Ocean

This is my baby girl!
She has a little bit of both her Auntie's personalities and interests and a little bit of mine...
I think it makes for a nice combination.

Picking and Packing

Sierra and Mom came over one day to start the packing process, we discovered that Sierra is the perfect size to climb the apple tree and shake the branches so the higher ones fall down, just watch your head!

Fort Lauderdale Fishing Pier

Jon would have spent the whole week here, they were catching all sorts of fish (of all sizes) and we saw photos of people who have caught sharks off of here! They provide bait, poles, washrooms and a cafe all on the pier so you never have to leave.

Views from the pier, condos and coconuts!

Local cuisine

I ate here in honour of my Jon, Ren and Nelson who braved the exotic fondue with me in Banff.
The bites are bits of the alligators tail, yup, tastes like chicken!

Everglades tour

This was definitely a highlight for me! its a whole different world here.
I am glad that we didn't see the snakes that live here, just birds and alligators

florida Vacation

Hi there, back and busy as ever...just wanted to add some photos that I took while away (for more go to Laura's blog!)

This is basically my view the whole trip, Laura was kind enough to do the driving and I got to just sit back with my feet up on the dash and enjoy the views! Laura did a great job driving in unknown areas and I have to apologise for letting her down with the navigating..sorry laura.

The southern part of florida was definitely my favourite, here you could just pull your car over for the day and park under a tree and enjoy the calm, warm water.

Just a quick update, our house is sold, possesion date is 21st of October! That's the week after Laura and i come back from our Florida vacation....calm before the storm. Thanks to everyone who prayed and encouraged and waited patiently(haha) with us. I am a bit sad to be leaving the first house I ever bought but am relieved not to have to worry about upgrading and renovations.

I love being an Auntie, (so much easier than being the mommy) Its great to get to know Josiah (above) and Hudson(on red car) they are so animated and creative and much more willing to interact than last time we saw them.

Of course I enjoy my time with Casendra very much, I do miss having a baby around and she gives my much needed quota of cuddles.
