Finally in Heaven on Earth

Here we are, finally! What an incredible home Mom and Uncle Mark found for us...I could move there permanently (I always feel that on holiday). There was plenty of room for all and On Demand TV so everyone was happy...most of the time. Any time you put 19 people together in one place stuff happens but I am thrilled to report that we all rose to the occasion and were kind and respectful to others. I love that about our family....I love to get together with them because of it.

Travelling

I know some of you will have seen this photo on mom's blog but it is such a classic. This is Chicago where we got stranded because of thunder and lightning and who knows what else. The kids were AMAZING and I didn't do too bad either I am happy to report. It is still better than 5 days in a car...did you know they set up a whole city of cots in one hallway because this happens so often. We didn't use them because they kept saying our plane would be in within an hour.....LIARS!

Friends

The first few days of our holiday were spent with the best hostess in the world, our high flying friend, Sue. The Lord has blessed her with a beautiful home and an even beautiful spirit. We felt so welcome and at home with her family and would go back in a heart beat. Thanks guys for letting us sleep in your beds, eat your food and read your books.

SUMMER!!

I really do love summers. Not the heat so much but the lack of cold for sure. The long evenings, colours of trees, flowers and the farmers fields.... but enough of my words, here come the pictures....

Moving Day

Well, what an adventure this past week has been. Without boring you with all the sordid details let me just say that God is faithful and his timing is perfect (even if we don't understand it).

My trailer sold allowing me to purchase flights for the 4 of us to spend 2 weeks in Ocean City for mom's 60th (she doesn't look it!) and Morfar's 90th(he's healthier than all of us!)

My house is vacant as of yesterday so starting thursday the 21st I will be moving in! My tenants may not have paid there rent but they did take good care of the house and yard so I am grateful for small mercies.

Ocean graduates from Kindergarten on Monday! I am done work on Wed! I'll post more as soon as possible.

Catching up

Well, I received a polite request for an update on this blog. Reminder appreciated Sandy.

I have delayed because I do enjoy photo blogs and have not had the technology to put any recent pics on lately.

What has been happening.....The school year is winding down. We are in full swing with our kindergarten grad practise. At our school this is a full scale production with choreography and set design!Luckily for them my role is more crowd control and gopher.

I am finished on June 20th and operation move out will begin in earnest then. Until then i am just thinking about it which is always worse than the actual activity. I have moments of panic but am really working on really trusting God. This I have found is a minute by minute excerise for me,.(frustrating and disappointing) I am continually taking back the worry and then asking forgiveness and turning it back over. Also, there seems to be an unusual amount of little tests coming my way which is sort of funny but not really unexpected. Of course we trust when everything is going our way but can we really trust when the bank account is low and you get robbed? Job 1:21 was a verse given to me when my first dog died and I have never forgotten it. Thanks dad . Blessed be the name of the Lord.

Reassurance

I have received so many reassurances in the last little while regarding my decision to move. It is very encouraging and I appreciate all of you who have had input.

I will very much miss my job at Heritage but have discovered that a lot of my friends there are also making big changes and are moving on so its not like I'm the only one. We are looking forward to moving in to our "OWN" house and even though it is old and "wobbly" the property itself is full of possibilities. If anyone has some words of wisdom (and experience) in subdividing and building. I'd love to hear from you. I am on 3,5 lots and have tons of ideas! (but no actual know how.)

Brad, Ocean and I went up on Friday and got info on their schools for next year. Both look great and are walking distance from home (what isn't?) I also looked around the house and tried to decide where I would put things (I did it secretly so Amy didn't feel like I was taking over, after all, it is still her place for now. ) If everything goes according to plan Amy will be in her "own" place(not nearly so wobbly as mine) April 1 (no joke). I hope to rent mine out from April to August to Guiseppe(see previous posts) and friends while they have another season of bin building. So pray about that, otherwise I have to come up with an extra $700 a month until I can move in, yikes! Everything is possible with God.
